for those of you who use paypal and have had to return something to the seller:

when the seller credits your paypal account, how do you turn around and use the dollar amount that is in your paypal account or how do you get that amount back to your credit/debit card?

fyi: we tried contacting paypal but werent able to right now, so i figured i'd go to my best source for info!

TIA!

Any money in your account can be used for another purchase. If you don't plan on making any purchases soon, and want the money back in your bank account, you need to withdraw the money. I think it takes 5-7 days for it to go back into your bank. Hope that helps!

jenn, thats what we thought, but when he went to overstock.com to buy something, when you pick paypal for payment and then get redirected and sign in to paypal, the only option that it allows him to use is a transfer from his bank account, not paypal balance. so weird!

It should just automatically take your paypal balance first then deduct the rest from your bank account.

Exactly what I was going to say. Was the purchase for more than your balance in your account? It must have been, because it takes the paypal balance first, and then completes the purchase with your other funding.

no actually it was for the EXACT same $ amount, overstock wont replace something unless it is the same size/color, well we didnt get an item we were supposed to, so instead of being customer service oriented and just sending out the same item in 1 size larger like we asked, they made us take a refund. well doug used paypal instead of his debit card (IDK why??) and now when he saw he was credited, he wanted to turn around and buy the item again in the larger size, but to use the funds form paypal, he signs in and it brings up this page where you are supposed to click on an option, the only option it lets you click on is "transfer $ from your bank account". grrrr. this is so not cool. its for my stupid wedding band!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
