Something you wish you would have packed?

Recommended Posts

This thread is fantastic! Thanks for all the great tips.

I have found from my past vacations that extra band-aids are always required. My FI and I tend to get blisters from the combination of water/sweat, flip flops and sand.

For the "chub rub" I have always used a thin layer on deodorant on the inner thighs.

I would also suggest to bring shirts to wear while you are snorkeling (if you go). It is very easy to loose track of time in the ocean and very easy to get sun burnt. We always have to make sure to have a few packed for my FI.

I wish I packed a nail file!

I cant think of too many things! But that is def one thing I wish I had.

I also packed outfits and it really worked. Also cute dresses as cover ups for the pool and beach were great ideas. I wore them everyday during the day. And at night I wore the outfits I packed.

Make sure to pack bug spray also!

Sorry if posted already. The most popular items used in my professional wedding planning emergency kit are pain killers, all kinds of tape, allergy meds/cream, all kinds of pins, tide to go, zip lock bags, bandaids, scissors, sewing kit with extra buttons,

-Pack extra cheap sunglasses, I lost a nice pair when a wave got me.

-One extra book, you don't want to be left reading brochures before the week is done.

-gravol gives me a great nights sleep

-small snacks for in your room (do not leave anything open for little critters to find)

-give someone ele a copy of your music in case yours gets lots (Cd or mp3 files)

-after sun cream if you're in the sun too long

-button down shirt and something strapless for when you get your hair done so you do not have to pull anythign over your head.

!! Copies of emails with your planner or TA that outlines previous details if a problem arises.

Copies of important papers, passport ... pack these separate from the originals incase the bag goes missing or is damaged. (Also leave copies with someone back home you can call in case of emergency)

GLUE! (Goop makes a little 3 or 4 pack with glue for different things)
Extra thank you cards
Yep would have forgotten a few of those things. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
