Iberostar Paraiso

Recommended Posts

There isn't a thread about these ones yet, so adding here, people can hopefully add information and thoughts, info about past visits and such here.

So, from my research, there are 4 Iberostars all together in Playa Paraiso, which is nearer to Cancun, and then 2 further ones in Playa del Carmen.

See this link for the names and virtual tours:

According to this comparison site: Paraiso Maya is the nicest, then Lindo, then del mar and beach.

The wedding pictures from all look nice, but it's hard to know because I think they mix the pictures up between the resorts.

Anyone have comments or info on these?

THanks.

I really like the look of the Maya. It was definitly one of my top picks. Someone from my friends got married there, and they loved it - had absolutly no compliants. One of the things I liked about it, is that there is a bit of a range in prices for the resorts around the Maya, so if someone could not afford the Maya they could stay at a different one and still be close by (but, if I understand correctly, I don't think the guests from 1 or 2 of the other properties can come onto the Maya property - but the Maya property guests can go on their property)

But my FI scrapped it last night - because he thought the beach would be too busy with such big resorts so close together....I was sad to see the Maya leave our short list

Yes, it certainly is a big resort, though that can be fun too, for everyone having their space.

And yes, Maya and Lindo are more expensive and can use all four, while Del Mar and Beach are cheaper and cannot use Maya and Lindo.

Also, they have a brand new one opening this month to go with the other four. Haven't heard much about that yet, but I think it is called the Grand.

So, it looks like there are each in one long vertical line going from the beach inland, and all next to each other. So really, i think staying in the Maya or the Lindo would be almost the same, looks like the pools and such are shared...

  • 1 year later...

I just reserved the Lindo for my wedding this October. I have not been there and would love to see pictures if anyone has any they can share. I don't find that there is a great selection of photos on the website and I am trying to get as much information as possible! I'm trying to pull this off in 4 months, and want to make sure I made the right decision!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
