I checked with her a few weeks ago, and they were not available yet. I think we will get them soon though.

Does anyone know if the resort has any colour sashes for the chairs other than white? I am wanting some sort of teal blue, but I think they only have white. Anyone know where the best place to buy that sort of thing (cheaply) would be? I think I'll need between 50-60 ish. I was thinking ebay? I have not started looking yet though...

I've found a couple sites that seem to have really good prices:

http://www.tableclothsfactory.com/default.asp (most seem to be around $0.69 or so)

http://www.weddinglinensdirect.com/ (have 10 packs on sale for $5.90)

I believe they only have white or a pale pink chair sash to chose from - our colours are turquoise and gold; I got them from ebay and Elena advised they would be happy to use any decorations we bring with us and there is no additional fee.  I have seen some of the other hotels charge for everything!

Thanks so much for sharing this! What are your thoughts on the DJ? I have been going back and forth between this. I don't know if I should do the IPOD thing or get the DJ. I guess for $100/hour it wouldn't be too bad considering we wouldn't start the dance until about 7:30ish. Did Elena tell you the chill out bar would be ready for 6:00pm?

Also I am curious about the prices and why they are priced in USD, I recently read that Mexico will no longer accept USD as payment. Only $1500 US can be brought. I guess they will just charge everything in Pesos?

I have looked around for the sashes and I think that linensdirect site has the bes deal, I am going to be ordering mine from there!

Oh also how are you having the tables arranged or are you doing up a seating chart? I don't know if I like the idea of having a head table, I am very non traditional that way. My bridal party is 10 and then the two of us and I like the idea of sitting at a round table with all of them, I wonder if they would be able to do that.

Is anyone having or did anyone have centerpieces? I like the idea but I would only do it if I could bring some easy and cheap things from home or if the flower arrangements there aren't too expensive.

Haha I have been thinking about all of these details a lot and who better than to ask all of you ladies! Can't help it I am getting excited because its getting closer and closer and we are at 40 people now!

That DJ pricing is soo good! Another resort I'm considering is $1000 for 4 hours, or $350 per hour sad.gif

Thanks for posting the private reception dinner prices, baezas. Those aren't too bad, considering it says it includes service and tax. Does anyone have the 2011 pricing for the actual wedding packages? Would you mind sharing those with me? And extra services, flower prices, etc. Whatever you have would be great! I would like to make my resort decision soon and get a date booked, but haven't heard back from the hotel yet with info. email is sarahspencer15@yahoo.com Thanks!

Elena had also sent me the prices for the ceremony packages but I deleted them by mistake arghh!!! I

f it helps I remember that there was very little changes, the packages were the same that last year and the price was just slightly over, but not much. think Morgan put all the packages/prices in here so you can get a good idea.

You can rent floral columns for the tent that can then be used as center pieces, the cost is 50$.

And lastly, if the guest number is over 20, they will charge 12USD per person (on top of your ceremony price). This is to cover for the champagne, chairs and cake!

Ditto - you can buy extra flowers for the columns by the ceremony tent for $50 and they will then use them for centrepieces.  Also the flowers they put on the table with the registar they transfer to the 'top table' for afters.

I think the prices at the hotel are so good compared to other hotels.  I didnt have any other hotels in mind though as I went to the hotel 3 years ago and always said if I got married I would come back to this hotel to do it.  Glad I made the right choice.

You are welcomecheers.gif

The chill out bar will be ready at 6, or so I have been told and will be available till 11pm.

I dunno what to do re the DJ neither, I want to have the DJ but not sure whether to get him for the 5 hours, so that we can use the equipment for the speeches or just get him since 7 or 8.....

The tables (for the private reception) are rounded  for 10 people, except the head table but I suppose you can ask them to re-arrange. I will probable have a seating chart since my guests are coming from Ireland and Spain and most of them have never met!

Btw Josietoms. I see you are from the UK... I am living in Ireland and still have not booked the trip (starting to freak out now)!!! who did you get it with? think might work out better for us if we book from Madrid but I want to explore all the options!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
