October! Thats crazy, how do they expect people to plan a wedding! This is why I switched to a renewal of the vows. I thought a Mexico wedding would be stress free but I have been finding out recently that is not the case. BUT you are right it will be so worth it when we get there!

Our TA who is one of the major tour operators here in the UK is sending their regional rep to the hotel today to find out exactly what is going on with dates for next year as like you say how do they expect people to plan.

Honestly if I hadnt already been to the hotel and fallen in love with the place and the whole atmosphere surrounding it i would have given up on this hotel long ago.  Once our date is confirmed i will be much more relaxed. x

I hated the tent at first too! But I was so glad we had it!!! The person that did our ceremony stod outside of the tent for our ceremony and he is drenched in all of our pictures!! His shirt is stained with sweat! It was really, really hot!!

i am interested in booking a wedding next april - BUT I HATE THE TENT???  the other resorts i looked at had a pretty wooden structure with pretty colors of fabric, that tent is not what i want AT ALL.  has anyone ever done without it or had something different?

Hey Ladies, do they have people on the resort that do hair and makeup. I saw some pics recently of a wedding at the Cat and it looked like they were getting their hair done at the spa or maybe somewhere else around the resort. I was under the impression that they didn't really offer these services at the hotel.

Has anyone gotten their hair and makeup at the cat and if so, were you really happy with them?

They have a salon at the hotel now.  It wasn't there when I got married, so I can't really say much about it.

I guess it depends on what is more important to you.  I was happy my guests were comfortable & shaded.  It was such a hot day.  The tent also shaded us which made for great light for the photos.

I had my hair done there and I was really happy with it. The lady at the spa did a wonderful job and it was very affordable. I think it was only $38 dollars. The only thing I would change would be to bring my own hairspray to the salon with me. My hair is very straights and has a hard time holding a curl. I have to use Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. I do not think their hairspray is that strong so some of my curls fell...but like I said I should have brought my super strong spray bc I know my hair will not hold :( Anyway they did great with my style:)

Im still here!! I have been reading along...I just don't have anything usefull to add yet:)

I did buy my dress and bridesmaid dresses though, that was exciting!

We've got about 15 people booked so far, and we are hoping for around 50 when all is said and done. Our group rate with the travel agent expires on the 15th, so the people booking with us have been RSVP'ing early because they have already deposited their money and know they are coming!

I am not sure what to do about photography yet....

I think I am deciding between Sascha Gluck & Ivan Luckie (although Ivan never did respond to my price quote request). Does anyone have any recomendations between these two photogs?

                    Talk soon!

Now my date is confirmed I have contacted a couple of photographers for quotes as I didnt like the ones the hotel uses (I presume they still use the same ones).

Do you know if we have to pay for a day pass or a nights accomodation like I see some of the other hotels request? x
