Hi Koolatta,

Oh what a shame we will be there from 27th Nov for 2 weeks so will just miss you. Can you believe how quickly it is coming around?! I can't wait to read about everyone's experiences once we get back.

Hi ladies!

So my wedding is fast approaching and I don't do much posting but I do a lot of reading and wanted to say thanks for all the info and advice!!

Starting to get very excited- Morgan your stuff/pictures have been a blessing! thanks very much.

We are having a legal ceremony followed by a private reception at the PCB. We didn't have a choice b/c it looks like we'll have between 80-90 people which I can't even believe. The amount of friends/family joining us is overwhelming and I don't really think it will hit me until I'm there.

Quick question to anyone who had a legal ceremony- how much can you add to it to make it a little more personal? We were told we can write our own vows. But what about having an opening/closing read before/after the legal stuff??

79 days until I'm a Mrs! 61 crazy folks booked!

Not too bad for flower prices. Are your parents and siblings wearing flowers? I'm still trying to decide where to stop when it comes to flowers. Of course the wedding party will have them but I think I want our parents and my siblings to have them too! What is everyone doing?

* GOOD NEWS: I am having my dress made as we speak!!! I'm so excited!! Since I live in China, I brought pictures to a wedding dress shop and they are making it for me. It's a Bonny dress, it was $350 in the U.S. and I'm only paying $70 here in China! I hope it turns out okay! I'll keep you posted!

I did flowers for just our moms. I didn't think our dads would want to wear them. It would be different if they had suits on. I think his mom liked her flower, but I know my mom loved hers. she was wearing it with her tamk top at breakfast the next day :)

at traditional weddings, I don't think siblings get flowers.

I did give everyone a hair flower in their OOT bag & a few guests wore it to the wedding.

Hey Cat Brides!!!

Let's get some chatter going! I just got the 2010 wedding package list. What perks is everyone getting? We are doing the Renewal of Vows ceremony ($399) but since we will have more than 10 rooms booked, we get it FREE!!!

I wish I could post it but I don't have enough posts yet!

I just got the prices as well. We are doing the Vows ceremony too, how did you find out that with 10 booked rooms its free? We have about 30 people attending so now I'm thinking that our package will be free.

Does anyone know if the sand is hard where the ceremony takes place? I'm trying to figure out shoes for the Bridesmaids and don't know if I should have them get heels or not.

The package wasn't free with 10 rooms when I booked. That is nice! Still at $399 it's a bargain.

I can't remember how hard the sand was, but I wore flat sandals & my mom wore wedges. It looks like mike's aunt is wearing heels in our group picture. you can see it by clicking the wedding album link in my siggy. The sand does look pretty compact, but it's hard to judge.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
