Yes, they communicate with you more closer to the wedding. I think they put their priority on brides closer to the wedding. They are so overworked & I think that is a good way to do it. I would want the attention on my wedding the days before instead of someone who is a year away.

don't forget to tip the WCs. They work their butts off and get paid so little. Both Elena & Cora worked with me on my wedding.

the spa was built after my wedding. I had someone come to my room for $75. I think the spa is around $50. I know it was less than the $75 I paid pre-spa.

I just got confirmation on our July 9, 2009 wedding date a 4PM! So far, Elena has been AMAZING at responding, answering questions, etc!!!

Our wedding at the Catalonia was mid-March and what a fantastic place. The staff were amazing to us, every place we hung out they treated us so well. Elena and Cora are WONDERFUL people, and do everything they can to make your day perfect. I have plans to return to this resort for our anniversary or definately in the not too far off future!

I really want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has posted about this hotel. I am looking to get married in Feb 2010 and was thinking about the Cat, after reading your posts, I feel confident in the hotel choice.

 

I am happy to read that you can have a private reception!

 

Did you all book direct with the hotel? Does anyone have the email address for the WC?

the WC email is posted somewhere in this thread. her name is Elena

i booked the wedding through the hotel WC, but booked our flights & rooms with a travel agent.

I was so happy with my wedding at the cat. they do an amazing job.
