Ladies! I can't decide if I should stay there the full two weeks or switch after the first week! I have so much fun with my friends and family so leaving them would suck. But I also think my FH and I would need to relaxation and alone time. What to do? I don't even know what hotel I would stay at for the second week?

are you guests staying 2 weeks?

If we switched, I'd want to go farther south to akumul or tulum.  Most of our guests left the day after the wedding.  I was happy a few stayed around, because it was fun hanging out with them once I was totally relaxed because the wedding was over.

We are staying for 2 weeks but then we are coming from London so its too far really to go for a week and the 15 others travelling with us are staying with us for the whole 2 weeks!!!! But we will def have some 'us' time the day after the wedding.  We are going to go on a city break a few months after returning home for our honeymoon - maybe Paris or Rome.

Yes, my best friends are staying two weeks and I think that is why the decision is so hard because we have such an awesome time with them! I love akumal!

Hello,

My fiancee and I are interested in the Catalonia Yuc/Riviera Maya, however, we are not enthused about the tent for the beach ceremony. Has anyone gotten married on the beach at this resort but not used the wedding tent? do you have pictures if you have done this?

thanks :)

Michelle

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
