What was your favorite:
Restaurant (and dish) - Reef Terrace (West Indian Pepper Pot Soup)
Hang out place - The patio at our villa and the Manor Pool
Bar/Lounge - Didn't really hang out at the bars! But visited the one on the manor side the most (for convenience!)
Excursion - We planned an outside excursion for us and our guests thru Lee's Tours and they created a special sight-seeing, Dunn's River Falls, and shopping tour for us. It was great!
Included Activity - Windsurfing was a lot of fun (I got completely soaked!) and we really enjoyed the snorkeling trip.
We are currently booked in one of the villas. How long did it take you to get to the Riveria side of the resort?

Would you stay in the villlas again?

Thanks in advance!

When my husband and I were at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in April we stayed in two different villas and we liked both but we discussed whether we'd prefer the Riviera side better alot.

What we decided was that if we were pool people as opposed to ocean lovers the manor side would be awesome. The villas were quiet, private and I loved the extra space.

The Riviera side rooms in the main building were a bit more luxurious, we spent all day at the beach and there were more restaurants to sample from that side so overall that would be our preference and why!

We never took the shuttle but walked up and down the hill and that took about 10-15 minutes down (from the lobby of the Manor sideto the beach) and 15-20 minutes up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
