Recommended Posts

I am sorry to hear this but dont panic it happens often. I heard south beach works really good a number of people told me they have lost 5 to 10 pounds in the first week. You should get the book. I broke my foot so no gym for me so that is what I am going to start. I will do it with you if you would like.

Good luck Erin and Glenda. Thank GOD my dress had a corset back or I probably would have been in deep doo doo. My poor mom had troubles zipping up her dress wedding day.

You have all the advice I could give already from the ladies, so I'll be a cheerleader for you girls! cheer2.gif

oh no erin! yikes!

when i bought my dress i had not been working out and was 7 lbs heavier than now. i did not have any alterations done in the top of my dress, just length. over the next month i was working out 3 times a week, trying to tone my mid/upper back (the part that will show.) when i went back in for the fitting, my underskirt would barely zip and the dress corset had to be laced looser! i had gained thick muscle definition in my back, and it was thicker than the 7 lbs of fat had been! ahhhhh! so, i actually STOPPED working out, well, my back anyways. keep up the cardio! and water water water till thats all you can think and breathe! for a quick few lbs, (not totally healthy) try diurex, makes you pee green, but whateva wink.gif

Holy cow! smile41.gif That sacred heart diet sounds fairly painful, but at least you get baked potato (sometimes) and lots of BEEF!!! foshizzle.bmp

Not much to add, but don't eat PICKLES. They apparently make you retain water. Sucks, because they are virtually calorie-less. OH well.

Good luck! You can both do it! smile159.gif

Back in the early 80's the Sacred Heart diet was called the Dolly Parton diet. HB and I would go on it and lose 10 pounds pretty quickly. Having a partner doing the diet with you helped, but we got sick of eating the soup by the end of it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
