    Hi ladies :)
Did anyone have any problem going through security with the sand? With how strict everything is now thought it might be a problem. Carla :)

We brought sand back from Puerto Vallarta. We put it in a gatorade bottle, screwed the top and packed it in our luggage. I believe the rule is that you can't bring back soil and sand isn't considered soil.

I have the same question. I was going to order my sand ceremony supplies, but I was not sure if I would have a hard time getting back in the US with the sand.

I had no issues with my sand, but then again I kept it in my carry-on (while going back into the US) and my carry-on never got checked by customs.

Ouch! This is a tough one... no straight answers. I suppose it's something to look into and to check with the WC at the resort in MX before we go, huh?

My WC place my sand frame in a DHL box and then I put it in my carryon. I didn't have any problems and no one asked any questions.

I just brought sand home from Australia and did not have any problems.
