Looking for pics of rooms at the Marriott CasaMagna PV

Recommended Posts

I looked on Trip Advisor but did not find many pics of the actual rooms at the Marriott. Do they just have 2 different room categories - Junior Suite & Regular Rooms (w/Ocean View and w/out)?

If anyone has pics of the Junior Suite rooms or any of the rooms since they've been updated (2004, I believe) please post them here. TIA!

I don't have any pics of the jr. suites but I have stayed at the CasaMagna Marriott several times in the past few years. It's also where me & our guests will be staying in October. They are currently going through a renovation as well. I think I still have a floor plan of the suites that my event coordinator sent to me. Send me a PM if you're interested. I have no idea how to post pics on the forum. Sorry. I could dig up pics of the regular rooms, too.

Ok, from the research I've done there appear to be 4 room categories (someone please correct me if I'm wrong): Deluxe Garden View, Deluxe Ocean View, Deluxe Ocean Front and Junior Suite with "Panoramic Ocean View". I'm not sure based on the description of the Junior suite if it's an ocean view or ocean front room.

We are thinking of booking May 20-27th at the Marriott PV and staying in the Deluxe Ocean Front room May 20-23, then switching to the Junior Suite. Actually I will stay in the Junior Suite room that Sat. and Martin will find somewhere else to sleep as he wants to keep the tradition of not seeing each other until the ceremony. On their website there is a $20 difference between Ocean View and Ocean Front, and then a $70 difference between Ocean Front and Junior Suite.

That's our plan for now... course, you know they're always changing... wink.gif

That view is gorgeous! I was looking at CasaMagna as a possibility for our wedding, but I was hoping to stay somewhere within walking distance of the city - for the non-wedding days. Does anyone know if it's a pain getting back and forth?

Not a pain at all. It's only about a 10 minute cab ride into the city - about $6 USD and there are cabs lined up out in front of the hotel so there's never a wait. It's really quite convenient and a good hotel. Perhaps you've read in other posts about the Marriott, but they're under renovations right now and will be completed at the end of October '08.

Of course, this is where my wedding guests will stay. I've stayed there several times before and love it. Worked with one of the coordinators for a group room rate - no problems there either. Great staff, great location, great amenities.

Btw, does anyone know how many Jr. Suites they have available? On the image above that Christina shared it says 10 but I think I remember reading like 20-something on the website, some of them being connecting rooms... huh.gif Just wondering, cause I think we want to do one and possibly some of our guests but since it's such a busy holiday weekend I need to know if I should push those who might be interested a little harder! wink.gif

I've just shot off an email to the wedding coordinator at the Marriott to find out how many jr. suites they have at the hotel. I definitely know there are connecting rooms to them, as my daughter will be staying in one next to my. Today is her 15th birthday!!! (just had to share that - proud mama that I am)

I'll let you know what I find out.

** UPDATE **
There are 11 jr. suites available at the Marriott.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
