I'm planning on making my thank you cards, however I'm having a hard time finding the appropriate wording to say thanks for the money.

 

I assume most of you (who are married) got some of money... how did you say thanks for it?

how about...

 

thank you for your generous gift. We are planning on xxxx (saving, remodeling, vacation, etc) and promise to put it to good use.

I am going to say Thank you for your generous gift. We are saving to buy a dinning room table and this gift will go towards that! We would love to hve you over for dinner once we purchase it!

How about something like this:

 

Thank you for the generous wedding gift, we will put it towards our renovations.

 

Is the wording ok??

I think that sounds good. People like to know that what they're gift helped with. I think that wording does both, thanks them and informs them. short and sweet.
