Resort or Non-Resort Ceremony?

After reading a lot of post on here it seems the decision on selecting a resort wedding comes down to reception or rooms for guests.

 

If the only thing you had to consider was Ceremony, not reception or rooms, would you still do a resort wedding? Why or why not?

YES ABSOLUTELY!!!! Our wedding will be on the beach as well as the reception. Our ceremony is going to be WONDERFUL!! We're doing a sand ceremony, have our own vows, and a few other things up our sleeve. The gorgeous rooms are just an extra bonus wink.gif When chosing a resort I would think about what's MOST important to you. To most of us it's the actual ceremony. To some it may be the food and rooms, and others how many swim up bars they have! LOL. Everyone is different, but my best advice is to look for a resort that has the best over-all package to fit your needs. From the ceremony options to the reception to the rooms to the food ect. I know it will be great for you!!!

Definitely! I like the idea of a resort. I think it is all a matter of choice. My family and I have always traveled to resorts and we love the different activities all sewed up into one establishment. It keeps us all close together on vacation. Plus, I think that the coordinators are trained to put on a heck of wedding.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
