I know exactly what you are going through...my FH doesn't have any family members tending and I only have my mom and brother...everyone else is family. But we have had a total of 4 groomsmen drop out and 4 bridesmaids drop out for all sorts of reasosn. Luckily the folks that were already coming stepped up and wanted to be in the wedding party. Everything happens for a reason, but what is most important is that you and your hubby are there... Just focus on you guys and don't worry about anyone else, whoever wants to be there will be and the others, you will see when you get back. ok?

and don't hold grudges...i have to tell myself that everyday.

UPDATE: Well the best man and his wife lost their baby sad.gif I'm really sad for them. I don't think they will come to the wedding but FI asked his friend Ron to be his BM and he said yes :) Although they haven't booked yet either! Yikes. They are talking about going and buying Ron's clothes so I think he'll end up going.. I'm relieved that Jayson was able to ask Ron and he said yes.. whew!

Hi all. We had people commit about a year ago and within the past few months had 3 groomsmen drop out! Poor FI would ask someone else that he was close with and after today's realization that another guy (who committed 8 months ago) is dropping out one month before the wedding!!! Dare I say is it a guy thing? I totally understand if major things come up, but how do you commit to being in a wedding, sending in an RSVP card and then just deciding you can't afford it one month beforehuh.gifhuh.gif Sorry- just venting. I feel your pain on this one!!! I can't vent to FI because he is the one so disappointed..

that sucks ccarmany23. it seems to happen a lot with dw's. Is there anyone that is booked he could ask to have someone or maybe you could scrap the whole wedding party thing. Just have honorary bms where they dont stand up next to you but help you get ready all the other bm stuff. But if they are all committed that might hurt their feelings.

We had the same problem my FI best man droped out and is the only friend of his going, but my sister who is my MH boyfriend is stepping up to the plate. it sucks when people RSVP and change there mind so closs to the time. We had to find someone to take there place, which was not hard since it is so cold evceryone we talked to wanted to go.

Hope alls problems with guys backing out workes out, and hope no one else dropes out for ours and anyone elses

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
