I am also getting married at Dreams Punta Cana. I was told by my wedding coordinator that my ceremony would also take place at 7p.m.

I told her that I was unhappy with that time and wanted the ceremony to take place at 5p.m.

She explained that they ceremony could take place at 5p.m. but would have to be witht he wedding coordinator and not the judge. When the judge arrives at 7p.m. the legal documnets would be signed.

I am not sure if the sunset times change in December but I just got married in Punta this month and the sunset didnt come until around 7. The night time photos were nicer because in punta you dont actually see the sun going down but the whole sky turns a bright orange-around 6:30 and just got brighter till around 7:30.

December might be different though.

I was also given a ceremony time of 7:00 pm and was not happy with it. So we are now having the ceremony at 3:00 and signing with the judge at 7:00, as long as it's legal it all right with us. I really wanted to get picture done after, so it works well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
