How did/will you prevent the groom from seeing you before ceremony?

Recommended Posts

I really don't want FI to see me before I come to walk down the aisle so I was wonder how you guys did this or will do this, that plan on keeping this old tradition. :)

Also, I am marrying on the beach so where exactly do they hide the bride? Since it's so open?

Do you mind seeing him in the morning before you get ready? Our plan is to in the morning have breakfast together then he will head to his best man's room and all the ladies will come to our suite for the getting ready process. I believe at DC the bride comes out of the tower so dont have your issue of the beach but I am sure your WC knows what to do and may even have a few options.

^^ That is so cool about the tower!!!

I do'nt mind him seeing me in the morning, we are staying in the same room after, all, but it's when I have my dress on and am amde up that I don't want him seeing me at all. I think he may have to get ready in another room cause I will be taking over ours with my sister and bridesmaids! I just have no clue how they are going to "hide" me from the guests before walking down the aisle... :)

I actually spent the morning of our wedding with my husband. I wouldn't change it for the world. After lunch, he went to his dad's suite and was at the wedding site when I arrived to walk down the isle. The resort has lots of practice bringing the bride in and coordinating everything over walkie-talkies.

our package also came with a room for the groom the night before, we didn't use it for the night but he did use it to get ready before the ceremony. I was in my room pretty much the whole time and only went on the beach for some photos at the time that I knew he was showering and stuff, so I wasn't worried at all.

My room was right in front of the ceremony site, so when I walked out of the building and then went to hide behind the restaurant until my walk down teh aisle, he saw me a bit when I was walking from the building to the restaurant, but I was so far it's not like he saw me or my dress properly so I didn't care, plus I was walking down the aisle like 3 minutes later (just waiting for the music and the bridesmaids to walk first)

i am actually staying in my parents room the night before the ceremony. the day of, hair & make up people will be coming at 1, so i plan to sleep in then maybe get an in room massage until then. i won't really have a whole lot of time to kill. we are thinking of bringing walkie-talkies as well for MOH and best man each have one since MOH will be with me and best man will be with FI. then we can keep track of each other & avoid any run ins!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
