I just found out that one of my old friends who lives in the States tried to kill herself a few days ago
She has 3 little kids and a loving husband and she's been through rough times for a while now, but having kids has really each time been very difficult. She wanted to get fixed before the 3rd one came along, but when she went for the operation, she was pregnant. She has a 5 year old, a 3 year old and a 8 month old.
    I feel so helpless
I called and spoke with her mom who had flown down there to help and she told me to write an email so that they can pritn it up and read it to her in the hospital.

I was shaking yesterday and worked from home because I was so worried, but today I have to go in and I'm working all day and night on an event. It's going to be hard to smile

Wow, I am really sorry. Does she have a support system to help her through this?

I really hope she gets some good counseling and works out her issues.

        hugs xoxo

I am so sorry. One of my friends went through this recently. A friend of hers actually went through with killing herself. My friend had a pretty hard time dealing with it.

Like Alyssa said I really hope she can get the support and help she needs right now...

Sending out good wishes to you and your friend...

We had 24 people attend our wedding in Las Caletas, Mexico on May 24th, 2009!

We all stayed at The Marriott in P.V., and Honeymooned at The Royal Plantation in Ochos Rios, Jamaica!

I'm so sorry. THis just proves that post-partum depression isn't something that just goes away. It would be difficult for anyone to take care of 3 small children so close in age!

I really hope she gets the help she needs.

You might want to send her a funny card or soemthing each week so she knows you are there for her, but aren't dwelling on "the incident". My MOH went through a really rough time after her first baby and said she really liked to think about "normal" things, her mother treated her like an infant and it just made her even more sad.

I am so sorry. Really encourage her family to make sure she gets the help she needs. Even if this means a short in-patient stay. As a friend just be there for her as I am sure you already are. You and your friend are in my thoughts.

I had two friends kill themselves within a year and a half of each other. And none of us saw it coming with either one of them. It's good that your friend has someone like you that can support her. Hopefully she'll realize how much she has to live for and not attempt to do something like this ever again.
