I just wanted to send a shout out there and say CONGRATS to BDWF Member Paul Sharank and his beautiful new wife and biz partner, Rachel Perry Schrank!

 

It has been an honor working in this region with Paul. Paul has been shooting video for Playa Weddings - Video and Photography in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya for 3 going on 4 years now. Paul & Rachel shot our wedding on Dec 6.

 

They were married on May 4th in Tulum on the public beach near a small restaurant, Don Cafeto (towards the runis from the main road). The beach there is one of the most beautiful in all of the region. The entire coastline is absolutely amazing. Rachel's entire wedding was Gypsy Themed. They had a very beautiful Mayan ceremony that was one of the most unique weddings I had EVER participated in. I've seen nearly 500 weddings folks, theirs blew me away and had me wiping tears on my cheeks. The emotion and energy created by this wedding was literally earth moving.

 

Bride enters from one side of beach with 15 of her closest friends, all playing musical instruments. At the same time, the groom enters with 15 of his closest friends, all playing different musical instruments. This setting generated some serious energy. That beach location is public, so there were many many other onlookers.

 

I highly encourage that you watch the slideshow of photographer favorites, just to get an idea of how amazing the day was. the details and emotions and color are all eye candy. Special thanks to our friend Ben Chrisman showing up to help us at this wedding!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
