In order to break that language barrier, I think I am going to change the way I email her. I am going to start asking questions in a list from 1 to 10 or whatever number my questions go up to. That way, she can answer each question individually. Of course, she probably wont answer them fully.

 

And on the other hand, we all need to keep in mind that the WC's at Dreams do this at least once per day, so they are very familiar with how to run and coordinate a wedding. I just need to step back and take a deep breath...and try to relax.

Soooo....I am not having any luck so far with this DW thing!! Sunday will be TWO weeks since I sent my first email to them just to set my date!....Then this past Monday, I sent them e-mails directly from the addresses I got off the Web Site....

I know everyone on here told me it may take a little while, but I dont understand how hard it is just to set my date!! I don't need them to do anything else until it gets closer to the wedding...My Travel agent (my new one...not the one that filled the same online request form that I did and i still haven't heard from him!!) Anyway, my TA will take care of the travel and things like that (Obviously), but I can't even get prices until I set a date.

My family & friends want to come, but they also need to know how much money they are gonna need for this and it's less then a year away (hopefully)

I'm sounding like a broken record, but it's very discouraging :-( I'm so excited for this and it's like I'm stuck one spot!

I know you girls have probably been there done that..LOL so thanks for letting me vent :-)

my advice is - get a calling card, call the concierge, have them track down the WC and get them to verbally commit to date and email it to you. Continue to call until you have the email. I had to get people on the phone...before that it just wasnt happening - they are just too busy.


(ps - i am a shelter mom of 3 - i so agree!)

I went the whole calling card route, but I had a really hard time getting a hold of people at the hotel. I was COMPLETELY frustrated, but then my travel agent took over and my date was set the next day, and Gaby has been e-mailing me regularly ever since. I have no idea what she did, but maybe you can ask your travel agent to try making some calls for you.

hang in there, phillybride ... it's VERY frustrating in the beginning! i eventually got my travel agent in touch with the wedding coordinator and she was able to get available dates for me ... but even that took the TA at least a week or so. then a few weeks later i finally got a response to the emails i had sent about 2 months prior!

I am actually going to a new Travel agent tomorrow...I am going
to explain my situation and I'm hopeing she just picks up the phone and calls.
I'm at the point now where I am thinking of getting married some where else. But I really love it there, so that's why I'm holding out a little longer.
In the mean time I am enjoying reading everyone's Planning Journal
threads and I
am getting excited for when the time comes when I can put mine up there!! :-)
