Help - What should my MEN Wear?

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon everybody – so I decided to have an ALL WHITE wedding. The problem now is that I canâ€t figure out what I want my groom, best man and grooms party to wear…

My bridesmaids are wearing turquoise – and my maid and matron of honor are both wearing 2 different colors that match with the turquoise… they will both have a slight different blue than my maids…

Now hereâ€s the dilemma I want my groom to wear a tux but heâ€s concerned that he will not be able to stand the heat… the best man wants to wear a white tux with a vest and tie matching the matron of honors dress – he doesnâ€t have a problem with the heat…

Now for the rest of the men in the groomâ€s party I canâ€t seem to figure out what I want them to wear…. Should they wear a white shirt and beige pants or do you guys think they should all wear white and I can have them wear a tie matching the bridal partyhuh.gif

I need some serious outfit help here guys… please help me out! I donâ€t want my groom to be uncomfortable crybaby2.gif

I think if you have the groom and BM in a tux, then all the groomsmen should wear a tux. I think it looks funny when some are formal and others are more casual.

Maybe a light weight linen suit would be a good compromise-

Or you could do a more casual white linen shirt and pants for the men. Lots of brides have done that.

i second LC Rachel's suggestion of the white linen suit. We would be going that route too, but FI wears a suit to work every day and wants to be more comfortable for our wedding...

you could either do shirts to match the BM dresses, or white shirts and just have the boutonneires (SP!) with ribbon that matches the BM...

Men's Warehouse has a beautiful white linen suit that we looked at. We decided though, that if they were going to purchase a suit, they would get more use out of Khaki.

I would say have the men wear white suits with a colored shirt, like the pic Rachel posted. The BM can wear a different shade and the groom can wear white.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
