Wedding Gowns - You VS Model

Recommended Posts

Everyone looks wonderful!

I feel like maybe I chose too quickly, even though I went through 4 different stores before finding mine. It came this week, which is earlier than they said it would. I haven't even had time to take it out of the box. I have also lost 15 pounds since purchasing the dress and the lady talked me into ordering the dress in a size larger than the sample.

Uh. If I ever get around to trying it on and finally deciding what I want altered - I will post pics. Oh, and if I actually fill my post quota...

I can't believe I have been on this site for a year and have never come across this thread! Its a great idea. I wish there were more photos, so lets keep them coming!!!

I remember when I found my dress I loved it, but as soon as I went home and looked it up online, I hated it on the model. I worried I made the wrong choice, and went so crazy my MOH finally dragged me back to the store and made me try on the sample again to remind me why I fell in love with it!

This is the model pic of my dress:

And this is a photo of me in the dress:

This was a photo taken by a friend in between the photo session. My friends all joke this is me trying out a model pose!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
