i HAATE Washington D.C.

Recommended Posts

okay so i just got back from shooting another wedding in our nations capital.. UGH.. i hate hate hate that city. sorry for anyone who likes it (but ive never found a single person who can claim that they love living there)

the biggest head ache about that place (besides being way too expensive) is that driving there is the biggest pain in the ass... even with navigation you get lost. 3 different high ways should NOT share the same road. thats just stupid. have one road be named one thing and another road named something else... who came up with that dumbasss plan. stupid city engineers should be hung but some unpleasant places.

and its way too expensive. a ticket there costs like 200 bucks more then flying to new york.. and its the same fricking distance.

and theres nothing really GREAT about the city. no pretty view no beautiful scenery. sure they got great museums and monuments and history to it. but come on... are you really going to go to a museum every day. so once you are done seeing all taht you are left with nothing great haha

BUTTTTTT the wedding was really nice and the couple was adorable and i got some great pictures WHICH ill be posting on the blog. i am half ways done already with the pictures becuase i just stayed in the hotel room and worked on the pictures instead of going out

hope you all have hade a great holiday weekend :)

I am in total agreement with you- DC sucks! Ok so maybe not all of DC sucks but driving in DC is def the worst!!! Every time I have been to DC I have gotten lost. UGH! DC recently has been ranked as one of the top 5 cities in the US with the worst drivers! LOL I couldn't agree more!

now now, Northern VA is actually beautiful. We came from Nevada that is dry, brown, and has no greenery at all and VA is amazingly green and scenic. DC is beautiful if you enjoy beautiful buildings. As for driving, I agree its frustrating however that's what public transportation is for, take the metro anytime you're in the city.

DH and I love it here and are really happy with our experience in the past two years here.

JM- i feel you on driving in DC!!! I went to school there and I swear I never got it right. I think there are a couple nice places to take pictures. I always thougth the cobblestone in Georgeton ws cute and the national mall has (some) nice spots....the reflection pondhuh.gif I didn;t realize it was so expensive though. Besides the ticket would you say it's more than San Francisco or New York?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
