this actually inspired me to get going on putting my music together. It was one of the bigger projects I have left.

Eep, I can't believe someone would hack up a U2 song! smile43.gif

(sorry, I'm a huge fan, and I would make everyone endure every second of every song if I could get away with it)

FI wanted to play "Window in the Sky" as our first dance song. This was considered the original "Beautiful Day", but I'm really not a big fan of this song (Window in the Sky that is).

Anyhoo, I'll quietly go back to my corner of the forum and be good now blush2.gif

It's just so it starts on "it's a beautiful day" right after you get announced. Only a small part of the song can play as you walk down the asile. If it was the musical intro it wouldn't have the same effect. Hopefully that makes it better to a hard core U2 fan.

I am a huge U2 fan which is one of the reasons we are using this song....besides the fact that it will be a "beautiful day!"

I do not think we are "hacking up" anything...just taking out the intro so the words "it's a beautiful day" will be heard when we are announced. It's to capture the moment. If we don't take out the intro, the words "it's a beautiful day" may not be heard since it only takes a few seconds to walk back the aisle.

I am pretty sure Bono wouldn't mind.

You're right, I'm sure Bono is probably the number one promoter of "recycling" his work into something else!

I didn't mean to offend anyone by my statement, and I apologize if I did. oops.gif

I'm actually now pretty intrigued and inspired by this software, I'll have to see if I can come up with my own U2 music ensemble.

I think making is start sooner is a great idea!! We used this song to walk back down the asile too. By the time we got to the end, it had barely started singing, then my mexican trio started playing immediatly.....I was bummed cause you couldn't hear it!! So, great job Morgan! Wish I would have thought of it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
