Just wanted to share my excitement about finally getting a contract and bank transfer forms from Paulina!! I'm taking a quick look at the contract details to make sure everything is accurate and will send her the deposit this week, which officially books her for my date!! Yay!!!

For those who have been having difficulty getting a hold of her, she generally takes an average of 4 or 5 days to get back to you, especially if you are sending an email in English, as she only speaks Spanish and has an interpreter to translate everything, including email. If you can write in Spanish or know someone who can, you'll probably get a faster response time. My fiance has been communicating with her in Spanish and we've been having better luck getting responses from her in a more timely manner. Even then, she may take a couple of days because of how busy she is but it'll better your chances. Don't be afraid to send her a friendly follow up email for questions that you haven't received responses for but I would give her a week before each follow-up.

I was feeling really anxious about getting her to respond to my email messages before but with some of the input that I've been receiving about what to expect with communication (thanks, Jill!), my worries have been put to rest.

....ahhh...photographer checked off the list! Feels great!

Yeah! Yeah! bunny_4.gif
I was thinking of contacting her again, but I don't necessarily have a reason to. I have the contract, but does it feel weird to anyone else to pay someone that lives so far away and have your wedding so far off?....
I keep going on her website and looking at her portfolio. I love it!
Congrats again!

Haha...I know what you mean. I feel like whenever I book a vendor, I have to be in contact with them at least once a month to make sure they haven't forgotten me...haha...probably would be overkill if I did. I look at her website OFTEN too (practically everyday) so I can imagine how great our pics will turn out! Every once in a while, I'll find a couple of new pics intertwined in the existing gallery and also in the intro slide show...gets me even more excited about my choice!

It doesn't feel too weird that I'm paying for things early but sometimes it makes me nervous to pay people that I've never met in person. I'm just glad this forum is here to make me feel secure about the vendors that I hire.

Aww...I'm sorry. I thought i saw some other photographers listed in this forum that are pretty good, although they have a different style. Let me see if I can find a few of them for you. Do you have any others in mind?

Her prices are definitely reasonable considering how beautiful her work is. I've seen some that were less expensive but in those cases, you get what you pay for.

I hope she doesn't already have your date booked! I've been excited about having her photograph my wedding from the moment I received the signed contract!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
