Pictures before the ceremony?

Recommended Posts

Iâ€m just wondering if any brides who were married later in the day had their pictures done before the ceremony and how well it worked out.

We are getting married at 4pm and some of my friends tell me that we should do our pictures before our ceremony, so the water is really blue and everything looks brighter.

Can you book Michael before the ceremony?

Thanks for the help, still trying to figure this all out.

I'm not sure about having them done before the ceremony but I'm wanting to have mine at 4 pm as well and want to do pics after. Partly because I'm a little superstitious (you know...can't see the Bride before the wedding) and partly because I'm hoping to get some great pics of us at sunset!

Thats kind of why I don't want to do pictures before too!
Sunset pictures would be really pretty!

I am getting EVERYTHING done before the ceremony! All the portraits and family pictures since our ceremony and reception are in the same house and we are not having a formal sit down dinner it's an informal buffet cocktail reception I want to be able to just relax and mingle.

Plus being that I am a professional photographer.... I must say that any wedding that I have shot where the bride and groom have decided to see each other before the ceremony for one reason or another have worked out fabulously! I actually recommend it if there is going to be light issues after the ceremony. I'm not a very traditional person so I have no problem with us seeing each other before the ceremony, it'll be nice because we won't be rushed and will be able to take our time!

My ceremony was at 4 but we were running late waiting for my Mom so it was more like 4:30 and probably 5 when we took pictures. I LOVE our pictures. Even though you can't see the sun setting it makes the clouds pink and orange and purple and it's so pretty and the water is blue. I loved it!

We are taking our own photog with us, so we have an advantage.

I'm going to do my TTD a few days before the wedding. We will take as many pics before the ceremony as possible.

We are getting married at 4pm and I don't want to see FI before we go down the aisle.

We got married at 4. We took some picture between 2:30 and 3:45 and back from 4:30 to 6:30. Justin aunt took the pictures so she was flexible. If you want picture with a clear blue or turquoise water you should take picture between 12h-3h a would say. But it all depend on what you want

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
