I sent her the pictures. I'd found them online and sent it to her to make sure that she knew exactly what I was talking about. Also, I sent all the flower vendors the same email with the exact # of flowers for each bouquet etc.... I wanted to make sure that one wasn't cheaper because they would use less flowers.

5 brides maids: 10 Tulips (light pink, yellow, red): $110USD each
Boutonniere for the groom: peacock feather $15USD
Centerpiece: Square 4X4 vase tied in a turquoise and brown ribbon with a peacock feather with 10 white tulips: $90USD

What do you thinkhuh.gif confused.gif

I think that's pricey too... check the florist I'm using, she recomends not using tulips that time of the year also (something most local florist agree apparently) but their prices are more real considering it's Cabo. osCommerce I've speaking with Ms Mendez and she's very helpful claudiamd64@hotmail.com

Have you research if you can import the flowers? I'm not sure if there's a law against it or not, but doesn't hurt to research a little bit, because flowers over there seem to be expensive.

Happy planning!

PS. I see you're getting married at Dreams. I quoted there and I love it, but they had this weird policy about ending the party at 11:30 pm tops 'cause the other guests may get upset. Did they told you the same? I think is crazy to end a party that starts at 5 at 11 personally.smile78.gif

Just FYI (and sorry i'm late on this) but tulips are not native to cabo and have to be imported. they can only be imported from mexico city. that is why they are super expensive.

After all the research we are going to use Mazarte (martha) flowers. She is lovely and to be honest her prices are equal to the flower cart, but her service is suppose to be wonderful. The O&O told me about her and she has been lovely. Let me know if I can help

Hi November,

If you don't mind asking, how many quotes you have?
I'm waiting for Mazarte, Pamela, Florenta, I only have Rayen and flower cart.
I want to compare my quotes against someone else's because I see huge differences between one florists.huh02.gif

Can you send me your quote? Wich one you think is better?

I am actually going with Florenta Flower Design, Florenta Flower Design - Home email: florenta@florentaflowerdesign.com

I priced out roses, since they are supposed to withstand the heat a bit better than some other flowers. The prices I was quoted were:

$160 - bridal bouquet with 50 lavender roses

$35 - bm bouquets with 10 cream roses in each

$5 - boutonniers with one rose (lavender and cream)

$130 - centerpiece for this display which is pretty elaborate:

Lola's prices were anywhere from $30 - $100 cheaper than other florist I priced out for the exact same thing. I had quotes from Cabo Flowers, Flower Cart, Palmela Floreria and some others as well. She's quite easy to talk to as well, and responds to emails quickly. Hope this helps! cheesy.gif
Thanks for including the contact info. I am going to email them and see what they quote me.

I think it's actually 10:30! I agree it's kind of early.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
