Did anyone ever find out if this is possible? We have a group of only 23 and would like one big table if that's possible. Do they have rectangular tables for the banquet room?

Keep Pressing for the Playa Azul area!. We had ours at the very end on May 3rd at Playa Azul and there was another wedding pretty close to us. There is room multiple weddings there and it wasn't a problem for either of our wedding parties (imo). Good luck :)

Wet first thought we wouldn't at all but ended up using the live music just at the very end as our guests were chatting etc after we walked back down the aisle to our own music. The ceremony music on the ipod during the entire ceremony went perfectly smoothly and I didn't regret it one bit. I hardly noticed the flutist that played at the very end. People said he was talented, but he didn't add much imo. They were really good at playing the music for me just as I requested. :)

We were married at Playa Azul without the palapa and although it was really far from the Palace, they shuttled everyone down there and it worked out great. The area is so beautiful and so much more private, I think it's great without the palapa also. I don't have many pics back yet, but it was gorgeous! Good luck.

Could anyone confirm for me that you can book a 2 night stay for your photographer at the barcelo instead of paying the $500 outside vendor fee?  I just wanted to confirm it was 2 nights, not 1

Thanks

My fiance and I have picked the Strawberry Passion package.  Our wedding coordinator (Victoria) told us we had the following options for live music during the ceremony:

-Violin

-Flute

-Saxaphone

We are leaning towards violin but I would like hear feedback from from any brides who have already been married at the Barcelo Maya Palace?  We are getting married in the gazebo if that matters.

Another option is to have my sister sing as she is a singer.  I am a little worried that her voice wouldn't carry well over the sound of background noises?  Any feedback on this would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Vanessa

I would def go with the violin, I had the violin and it sounded amazing! I heard the sax during another wedding didnt compare!

I had the violin, but I can't remember at all any music playing. My guests said it was beautiful and they all cried. My wedding planner asked me when I got down there what music I wanted to be playing but I was so hungover that I said whatever. So she said the traditional songs would play... later my guests told me that after the ceremony they played "like a virgin" by Madonna! hahahaha I was pretty embarrassed! So my advice would be to pick songs!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
