hi! thanks for the advice! I liked the idea of sending separate emails about different topics. I am more calm now since the planner told me that they already have my date "reserved" I am just looking at another option (hotel) and soon me and my fiance will decide if we marry at Barcelo or not...

Hi!  I'm debating what beach to have the ceremony at, coral beach or playa azul. I heard Coral beach is more private?Help! :)
At coral beach there are no chances of having a fat man in a speedo in your pictures! Lol! It's up on some rocks and has beautiful trees/shrubs in the background, it is hard to explain but basically doesn't have direct access into the water but the water is in the background. Playa Azul is a big flat beach area, beautiful still, but different, more space for people to watch or swim in the water behind the ceremony. Good luck choosing!

We had our ceremony at playa Azul and our reception at Coral Beach. Playa Azul is the furthest from the busy part of the resort, and you and your guests are transported there via trolley style golf cart. I have been in 2 weddings at that beach(including my own) and there was no one in te water behind the ceremony either time. There are no beach chairs near it so it doesn't get as much tourist traffic. Coral beach is directly in front of the coral grill which is one of the buffets where everyone at the resort eats. There is a lot of foot traffic there as everyone has to walk by it to get to lunch or dinner. You will likely have the coral grill in the pictures of you walking down the aisle but the shots facing the other direction will be gorgeous. It was very important to me that there weren't resort buildings in the background of my ceremony pictures so I chose Playa Azul. There are benefits to both though, so it really depends on what is important to you. In my opinion, playa Azul is the more secluded beach though and I can send you pictures of both.

Hey ladies! We are getting married in just a few weeks at the Barcelo and trying to figure out for sure what works for playing our own music at our dinner/reception that will be in doors. I only have either my iPhone or iPad but have heard that only a iPod works? Can anyone comfirm on this for me and let me know exactly what works and what doesn't? I'm trying to put my music list together but don't know what to put it on an what will work or not. Thanks! Kelsey

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
