Thanks sfrench0621!
Now I can finally decide. Do you know what happens if you have the reception by the pool area and it rains? Where do they move the recpetion?

Hi vlynnw,
You have lots of time to plan as your not getting married until 2011. Xhail along with all the other WC's take sometime to get back to you (1 to 2 weeks). Xhail is my WC too and she will eventually get back to you so don't worry. You can book your date with her but don't expect to start planning the details with her as she will probably be concentrating on the 2009 and 2010 brides right now. I'm getting married in April 2010 and she still hasn't done any of this with me.
Happy planning!

If you are booking the strawberry passion in order to have the reception outside then if it rains the reception will be held in one of the grills.

Just wait after Christmas you will be right where I am just a few months out....and it will start flying then :)

You are so far ahead...great job!

Did you order centerpieces from Barcelo? If so would you send me pictures of what they sent you to choose from? I have no idea where to begin with that. My mom is very crafty and I would love for her to put things together but then I don't know how to get them there. Have any suggestion anyone??

How about flowers? Did you choose from their selection there?

Please help:) I am grateful for all you wonderful ladies!

I love the Palmeras grill, but if you count the seats, there's room for just over 100 people... I wonder if it'll look too huge for a party of 55?

Good question... I'm guessing we might have 25-30 max, so that will be even worse.

Does anyone know if they served frozen drinks (margaritas, pina coladas, etc) during receptions in the open air restaurants or poolside?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
