I think in lieu of a whole OOT bag, we're going to have a welcome letter with a brief introduction of all our guests. Something like a facebook so they won't feel like jerks if they forget someone's name. With that letter/info we are going to include personalized koozies that say something like "To have and to hold and keep my beverage cold." Figure those who don't drink can still put their diet cokes in the koozie. Of course this is an idea I got off this forum!!

Good Morning Everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here, we actually got married almost a year ago :) Anyway, I remembered how much I valued the information given to me from previous brides at Barcelo and thought I share my photos for those that were questioning, the resort, food, etc. The photos should be able to answer alot of those questions!

Congratulations to everyone!! :)

Wow, your pictures are beautiful!! I just had one question for you: I'm getting married in the Palace Gazebo too.. I was wondering if they provided the aisle runner or if that's something you brought?

Thanks! and Congrats on your wedding!

1. What sorts of things did you guys put in your welcome bags?
So far, I have:
Immodium, Advil, Bandaids, anti bac, body wash, lotion, and was planning on
getting chips and candy once I got down to Riviera Maya...anything I'm missing
or anything else I can add? I have about 35 bags to put together.
2. Are you ladies doing favors, and if so, what?
Hello, I suggest not needing to include chips and snacks as Barcelo Maya Palace includes this in every room and replenishes daily. I stayed there about a year ago and the fridge was always stocked with chips, peanuts, beer and PLENTY of water.

I will be photographing a wedding there next week, so I'm pretty positive you can have an outside guest as your photographer. But, I'll be able to tell you more after next weekend! :)

HI Monica!!

I LOVED your pictures!!

Did you have a lot of people watching your ceremony on the walk way between the gazebo and the beach?

Where was your reception held?

Thanks! That is good to know! I was planning on getting the local flavor snack foods once we arrived, but if they have them in the room, all the better!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
