That is tough ... I don't think that is very fair either. I think they could at least credit the value of that $ portion towards flowers, cake, etc. As long as the money was going to something else that wasn't to difficult to arrange .. I wouldn't see the harm in them doing something like that.

There is a different menu for Mint breeze. It's not very different but it does eliminate some of the selections from the Strawberry package., NO surf and turf.... Email me at jerimarine@hotmail.com and I'll send you the menu:)

i thought the couldnt do turf for three months a year or something like that because they protect the lobster in Mexico??

I think there are certain times of year it is not available, at the bottom of the menus it states something about seasonal availabililty, but surf and turf isn't an option on the mint menus.

I've read on Unofficial Barcelo Maya that they substitute shrimp for the lobster during the months when they aren't allowed to serve lobster.

I was told the samething about hair and make-up which I am TOTALLY not happy about. I have 6 BM who am I suppose to give it too...and both moms have short hair! Even if I could apply it flowers would be so great.

As far as the 35 rooms or people I would like to know that information. I know we have that and we have not been offered anything for free from our WC. If anything we have been told we are too big and that is why they can't offer us a welcome cocktail with bartender for free. Please keep us updated on this.

I can say that through Apple Vacations we got 1 person free for every 25 booked with them. But that was through Apple not Barcelo.
