Claudia also emailed me today that the 2010 menu is not out. Seems to be a little close to 2010 to not have menus out, does it not? If I had a Jan or Feb wedding I would be mad right now!
Hello THAT'S ME! I have no idea what is going on.

I am glad you updated us on this. I have not been on that site since we selected our destination. This is crap! But really it doesn't matter because we end up paying for the guests for wedding night and then if you want a private function for the welcome party you pay for that too, so really for my group (4 day stay for wedding guests) they only have one other night to enjoys al a cartes. This does make me upset.

Our travel agent is trying to make some requests to the hotel but it doesn't seem to be working. The only other option is for some of the guests to stay at the other resorts (i.e tropical, etc) but I want to avoid this. I want everyone to be at the palace.

That is a complete bummer! I really hope they get something worked out for you.

Hi all!!

My name is Stacey and we are getting married July 17 2010. I am VERY new to this site. Your information has been so helpful. Would any of you mind sending me some ictures of the different sites where were can have our receptions?

Is any one thinking of having their reception on the beach? Or inside?

Do we have to let our WC know ahead of time that we will be using outside DJs?

Any suggestions were to have our ceremonyhuh.gif

Thank you so much!!

has anyone received pictures or know what the bridal bouquets look like? I'm not trying to spend extra money on flowers since I can't bring them home with me, but I am curious as to what the flowers in the strawberry passion package look like. I have emailed them several times and nothing sad.gif

I think so....not sure. We did find a few more flights through cheaptickets.ca which is a US Airline as a last resort. The guests just won't be booked for my wedding group ratesad.gif.

Cheers

Hi Sabrina, I did notice as well that our wedding dates are a day off! That is awesome and I hope we can meet when we are at the resort. I did have a bit of trouble booking with CAA and westjet vacations. we had about 20 rooms wanting to book and they told us there were not enough rooms too! way too stressful. Anyways our travel agent worked for about 4 days with westjet and finally got the first group booked. But we also have calgary bookings to still do and I am not sure how seamless that will go. There has to be enough rooms as it is still far enough in advance. We had actually phoned down to the resort when we had this booking issue and they were only at 40% capacity so there must be some miscommunication between the resort and the travel companies. I hope that everything works out for both of us.

Talk to you soon

Jenny

I looked through the book they use for bouquets when I went down for my site visit. I'm getting the strawberry passion too, but I don't think it matters. They don't use different bouquets for different packages. Anyway, they can do anything that is native to the area for no charge. Anything like colored cala lilies are extra charge (they said the white ones are not though). Just send them a picture of what you want and see if they can do it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
