Hi Diamondpooch,
That' so exciting that you have everything done!
Are you bringing your centerpieces? I'm doing the Strawberry Passion package which only inlcudes one centerpiece so I'm unsure what I'm doing yet. I don't know if it would be cheeper me bringing stuff or just paying extra down there.

I am bringing my own centerpieces. I'm doing the Strawberry Passion as well, and the only "included" centerpieces I know of are the fruit and candle ones which I didn't really like in the pictures I've seen. So, instead of spending a bunch of money on real flower centerpieces that are going to last four hours, I decided to make and bring down my own centerpieces. I ordered fabric from ebay (navy and white damask pattern ) and I'm making runners with a navy border on top of the provided white table cloth. I'm using 20" tall square vases filled with lemons with small bloomed yellow flowers sticking out of the top. Two per table....one on each end. In between I'm alternating a stand alone lemon with a square candle holder with a candle inside. I'm just bringing them down in an extra suitcase. I don't want to chance shipping them down and getting them confiscated by customs. The end product will SORT OF look like this: just with the navy underneath. Oh, also I will have navy chair bows.

This looks beautiful!
Xhail hasn't sent me any pictures for centerpiece options. She keeps telling me that I have lots of time...but really I don't. If I don't like what they have then I need to bring something.

If anyone out there has pictures of the outdoor reception areas, can you please send them my way...... I need to decide on something but I haven't seen anything yet. If this has been in a past post sorry....I haven't been on here much in the past month.....work is keeping me busy....not to mention my 16mth old daughter who is full of energy at 6am.

Cheers!

Well... I put my date on hold at the end of May (I am getting married in February). Then I confirmed after all the bookings were done in July. However, while February is high travel season, it doesn't seem to be high wedding season, so in your case as you are getting married in May I would put your date on hold sooner, like a year ahead. That way you are sure to get the date you want. :) All that being said, I wouldn't worry about it. I think they do up to 6 weddings a day.

Alright thanks, we want to book everything like very very soon, we've set our wedding out so far because of our schedules and in the months of crunch time I won't have any time to do anything so I'm trying to book everything over a year out. I just can't get Xhail to respond back.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
