I got an email from Gabriela confirming that the price of the Strawberry Passion package is indeed 3080$ USD. She said she's gotten a lot of questions about this; she thinks the confusion came from the fact that if you get the Strawberry package and want a catholic ceremony, then yes it is more than 3080$... so no price hike for now, ladies!!

We want to confirm the spoy on top of hill looking over the ocean for our ceremony, its a hard sand area, in front of the palace.
We are also using a damask type theme brown and pool color:)
We are thinking about an open air restaurant for the reception but I am having a hard time getting pictures. If you have any that would be great.
Maybe we could coordinate and hire (makeup artist from the area) maybe hell give us a discount if we book two wedding parties through him? What is his contact information I can contact him. My email is nsschacht@gmail.com, can you forword me any pictures you have.
Thank you and it was nice talking with you.
Nichole
Hi Nichole:
I'm sending over the pics I have and the contact information for Adrian. That would be great if he could give us a special deal for having 2 brides that day. For what I've priced around this area, his cost for the makeup plus lashes was a little cheaper than what I could get here. I'll send over the price information he gave me as well. He was really nice and responded quickly! Happy planning and please let me know if I can help in any way:)

We aren't planning on a huge DJ type reception so that was fine for us to have a nice dinner with all our guests for the time allowed. If we want to dance we'll go to the nightclub at the resort that night. It's kind of a cheesy place but it was fun the last time we were there :)We are planning on a private catamaran sail the next day with guests so that will be more of our party/nontraditional reception. If we change our minds and use the banquet room for a reception (we are going with the Mint package as we didn't want to be outside for dinner) then we will use the Ipod for music. I do have examples of flowers for bouquets but nothing on centerpieces, send me your email and I'll forward them to youcheers.gif
We are having the ceremony at the Gazebo and I'm using a black and ivory floral-damask type print as the base color for my wedding and accenting with lime green, watermelon and a purply-magenta type color. If you've looked at Wedding Paper Divas, the Brilliant Blooms invitation is the one we chose and is the color scheme for the wedding. (One of the reasons we chose the French Restaurant, because the decor is our wedding theme/colors!!! )
I originally wanted to go with the mint breeze package but when I emailed Xhail about using the French Restaurant because I liked the decor more and didn't want a drab banquet room, she told me I would have to upgrade to strawberry passion in order to get the restaurant. How were you able to keep that package and get the restaurant? If this is the case I think I need to try to negotiate it.

Not sure reallyhuh.gif Victoria never mentioned having to upgrade the package. It may be related to the fact that we will not have the restaurant for the entire 3 hours and she said it will not be entirely private...

Hi Lana,

Welcome to the forum. While I know that some might have a few pictures, I believe that the wedding coordinators at the hotel have a huge book of flower options for you, which you would pick when you get there, along with other details. I think if you go back a few pages there are packages for 2010. Happy planning! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
