I also have so many questions! I will post them here so everyone can see the responses if that is okay.

My main question is how did you feel about the banquet room for 60 people? Was it big enough and did it have windows? Also how was the meal?

I will have lots more but I'll wait until your review to post. Thanks so much! Congrats and I can't wait to see pics!

Has anyone from the US done the legal wedding? Did you just have to bring your passports and tourist cards? Did you need to get anything translated? I would like to do the legal ceremony but don't want it to be a huge pain. What have others experienced? Thanks!

we're having our legal marriage here in NJ a week before we leave...over in Mexico we're having just a symbolic ceremony with vows and the yeses and i do's :) it's a lot easier that way from what i've heard. over in mexico you have to have blood work and wait a couple of months to receive your paperwork...and here we're just going with a witness in our regular work clothes so it doesn't feel "real" ya know...

Hello All!

I am actually leaving for the Palace in 3 weeks!!! Yikes!! wink.gif I am having a Catholic ceremny at the Colonial Chapel and have been getting mixed messages on having our "legal ceremony" in NJ, vs. getting legally married in Mexico. From what I understand it is easier to get married in the States, b-c otherwise all the paperwork will be in Spanish. I am just going go to Town Hall and get legally married (but not dressed up so it doesnt feel real) and then be all get to have a Validation of the marriage in Mexico.. which would be the Catholic Ceremony with the Priest from the resort.

Now my question is.... has anyone had a Catholic ceremony there and if so, did you have wedding programshuh.gif I am having a very hard time determining what goes in them and the other of which things happen. Does anyone have an answerhuh.gif

And for the lovely bride who had their reception in the hall... was it the Tule' room? How was it? How was the food? what wedding package did you choose? Pictures please!! My email is Douganderica@gmail.com

Thanks so much!

-Erica :)

Hi Everyone!!

We getting Married at the Palace Feb. 26, 2010! What Im told from a few people is that you pretty much plan everything when you go down there those 4 or 5 days before the wedding. Is this true? Have you all contacted the coordinator? and what for? Any guidance that you may have would be MUCH appreciated!

Thank you!

Ashley

Sandra!

I am in Marlboro NJ... This weather is so awful... I actually feel bad for Brides getting married around here... since June is like the biggest month to get married! Yes 3 weeks away... so excited... but also so nervous b-c I havent heard from Gabriela in a LONG time... but I did do a site visit last April and I met with her. I am have a Catholic ceremony at 4:30 at the Chapel.. and still unsure on a lot of details... but from what I hear as well is that you plan the whole wedding once you get down there.... so different from what we are used to in NJ!!! Whenever I tell people, that I am unsure of some details and that I will plan them a week before the wedding... they think I am nuts! Anyways.. I am sure it will be gorgeous and I can not wait to write up a review!!!!

Where are you located in NJhuh.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
