Also,On average, how long does it take for the WC's to respond to their e-mails? I sent one over 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for a response....
I believe that if your photographer is a guest, they can be there.

Dh and I had our photographer stay the week. And nobody at the resort said anything. We still used the resort photographer (seeing as it was included in our package...) It worked out great! and like I mentioned above... Nobody at the resort said anything!

I suggest not even mentioning it, and you'll be fine!

Happy Planning ladies :)

SO I guess my mistake was mentioning it in the first place to the WC darn it! I have been given the resounding no on bringing anyone in from Cancun, we don't want our budget to get out of hand by flying someone in and paying them to stay a week; so I have not asked about that..... I wish we could though. Our wedding coordiantor takes a week to get back to us. Last week I resent my email after not hearing from her in 7 days and she sent one back the next day apologising and saying the resort had been super busy with weddings last week.

I finally received a response from the WC's today. They have confirmed that my date and time is on Hold (May 29th, 2010) !! cheers.gif However, she also said that the 2010 packages will not be available until June. Has anyone heard anything different? The email came from WC Victoria. Has anyone worked with herhuh.gif? Thanks for your help!!!

Hi Ladies,

Ok.. I just received the wedding prices for 2009!! Yay.. so now Im curious, has anyone been married at the Palace in October? Is the weather ok for the "under the stars" and does anyone have suggestions for what time of the day is good to hold the ceremony? I always wanted a sunset cermony but I'm wondering if that time of the year it gets a little chilly at night??

Hi MObride09...we just got back from the Barcelo on Sunday from our wedding!

Our WC was also Victoria and she was amazing! We dealt with Gabriela till we arrived at the resort and once we were there Victoria did the rest of the work! My new husband and I enjoyed working with her and she was very helpful! We could tell that she genuinly cared about our day and although she was working on 3 or 4 other weddings that day made us feel like ours was the only one! We can not say enough about the Barcelo as well! I am sure you will be very pleased with your decision to get married there! If you have any other questions please ask away!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
