Hello Ladies!

Anyone using an outside photographer? I know most brides book their photographer a room in order to avoid the $500 vendor fee. However I'm getting married in July and they require a 3 night stay. Don't know if I should just pay the $500 or book a room. Anyone in the same predicament? What are you doing?

Ladies, what are you paying for flowers? Does $500 just for flowers for centerpieces and 4 bouquets sound expensive?

LoriGran,

Mine are about $600 for one head table and two long banquet tables and girls bouquets.

Which centre pieces did you choose?

I am bringing my own centerpieces (mason jars) I just needed the flowers for them. I was thinking of going with an outside vendor but don't want to deal with having to pick them up at the front lobby to avoid the fee.

Hi Ladies,

Congratulations to all of you regarding your upending nuptials.

I have just found this website (I wish I did earlier!) and I am getting married at the Barcelo Maya Palace on June 2014, strawberry package (yeah I am one of those very late brides and starting to get an anxiety attack with the amount of planning is involved in a destination wedding, who said it was easier????? :-( ).

I've started the process with my wedding planner (Victoria) but I am not sure what options are available in term of decoration (lights, flowers etc.).

If anyone has a pdf of the choices for chairs, linen, flowers etc. can you please send to [email protected]?

Thank you so much for your help!

Hey everyone, question for you about hair...

SO, its just myself and my two bridesmaids, and my mom that need hair done (not makeup).

I am not willing to pay someone to come into the hotel to do it for me, but I see it is part of the wedding package (Strawberry). I want some honest answers here.. how is the hair salon at the resort?

I'm using an outside photographer (Ivan Luckie) and booked two nights instead of the $500...I believe the amount was just under $400 so we saved a little. Every time I tried booking online it also said 3 nights were the minimum BUT I called 800-BARCELO and spoke with someone there and they let me book the two night NO issues. So make sure to do that! They didn't even question the two nights! I sure am disliking all these outside vendor fees. :(

I'm at $525 for flowers so that seems about right. I have 5 bridesmaid bouquets for $165 total and I believe 8 center pieces for my tables at another $360. How many centerpieces are you having?

Here's a tip while looking at centerpieces or really any of the flowers...I didn't like any of their centerpieces OR bouquets so I sent them a picture of what I was looking for and they are creating what I want. So in case anyone is in the same boat...they CAN personalize your flowers more! I'm doing CP005 for my centerpieces but having white and cream roses instead of the flowers they show in the picture. Just a thought!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
