Do you bring your own table decorations and what's everyones take on having or not having seating arrangements??

oh and one of the other big reasons we choose the mint package was that after being outside in the heat (especially in June for you) all week and the wedding day we thought it would be nice to be inside with air conditioning for dancing and everyone to enjoy themselves!

Have you thought about using your ipod instead of a DJ? I have heard from brides that it worked out perfect and they liked being able to choose all their songs. I downloaded an app called weddingdj and it is great! It organizes all your songs by category (recessional, first dance party, etc.) and fades songs in and out. One of my friends is being our "MC" to announce things and make sure things run smoothly with the music. Just a suggestion, but I know how fun a DJ can be!

We went with the ipod option and it worked out fantastic!  I created a separate playlist for everying, (ie, there was a playlist called "Processional", one called "Recessional", one for "Reception Dinner Music", "First Dance", "Dance w/ Dad", "Reception Dance", "Cake Cutting", and "Last Song of Night".  This made it super easy for the MC to find where to go next.  For the reception dinner and the reception dancing music, I turned on the cross fade option on the ipod, so it was like having our own DJ.  It was the most fun part of the planning for me to pick all of the music, and after the wedding guests asked for CD copies of the music. It's super easy for me to burn it now :-)  Our dance mix was awesome and I'm still working out to it now..lol.

I am in the process of putting together all our music for our wedding in February, we too are going to just use my ipad/iphone.  Would you mind letting me see your list as far as music goes for all the categories throughout the evening? I want to have plenty depending on if we extend our reception hours longer or not. If it makes it easier you can send it to my e-mail which is kelc_86@hotmail.com Thank You!

We used our iPod as well and used the wedding dj app also.  I set up a FB page and invited our guests to the "event" asking them to submit any reception song requests to the site.  I organized my music by our entrance song (to the reception), dinner music, first dance, reception music and last dance.  Super easy, sound was great and MUCH cheaper than a dj!

Hi There,

I was wondering if you could tell me or give me a description of the aisle towards the Palace Gazebo?

I'm getting married there in January 2013 and we have a custom aisle runner.  I've seen in videos that the aisle towards the gazebo has stairs. Do you happen to know how long the aisle is toward the gazebo including the stairs .. also if you happen to know how long the aisle is once you reach the bottom of the stairs.

Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

I love your pics!  Congratulations :)

I'm getting married at the Barcelo Maya Palace Gazebo.  I was wondering if you happen to  know if the aisle towards the palace gazebo is long?  We have a custom aisle runner for the wedding and I've seen in videos that the aisle toward the Gazebo has stairs.  I was just wondering if you happen to know how long the aisle was including the stairs .... and how long the aisle is once you reach the bottom of the stairs.

Thanks in advance!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
