Ive found a lot of pictures on this forum, just search up top for coral grill, it will tag you to posts about the coral grill. Hopefully that will help you see the location. It looks nice from the pictures. I never visited Barcelo.

Hi chrisdior,

Our wedding is Nov 28th, 2012. Once we had officially booked with our travel agent and had our booking confirmation number they were willing to start planning with us (we booked and paid our deposits in late february). The WC never gave us the option of beaches for dinner but we did choose our cermony location, I didn't realize this until she started asking us about centrepieces and I thought, "Hey, where is our reception anyway?!"

I was searching more for Coral Beach pictures and not the grill as we will be right on the beach for dinner. I found some info on the thread but no pictures, I did find a bunch through google images though and we are VERY pleased with our placement!

They use the Coral Grille for dinner and it's also HUGE!  This is why its normally not an option. If they're letting someone use it, it's probably because they're completely booked everywhere else. They'll probably curtain off a small area for the wedding and leave the rest open for hotel guests. If the weather is right, the palace pool will be just as good if not better. I got married October 8th of last year and the weather was beautiful!

Thanks Dan!  Did you get a lot of rain while you were there over your trip? I'm nervous as to not being under shelter and crossing my fingers that Old Mother Nature will be kind and grant me a day of sunshine and perfect temps.

JoanneIreland: Love the color yellow how you incorporated it into all your decor. Thank you for all the helpful suggestions. I am not a fan of fondant to begin with, so buttercream sounds like a great option- I guess it is easy as just asking. I love your twist on how the bride and groom kiss by making them shake the maracas instead of clinking the glasses.

The only day it even sprinkled was the first day we got there. The rest of the week was gorgeous. You'll be fine.

I am also getting married on October 6th but at the Coral Beach... isn't that right infront of the Coral Grill? I wonder if that is why they wouldn't allow you to book at the Coral Grill and not because it was going to cost $10,000.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
