Ditto! She was great.

I heard the sax at another wedding when we were walking by, it was also nice. I preferred the violin.

Hey everyone!

Does anyone know about the bride and groom getting their hotel stay for free with a certain amount of guests staying at hotel?  My travel agent mentioned something about it but wasn't quite sure.

Also, for those of you who had a symbolic wedding, did you write what your officiant said or did they have to say something specific?  Did you just let them do their thing?

Thanks!!!

I do not know about the free stay so I cannot comment on that.  As for the officiant question, we had a symbolic ceremony and we just had him do his own reading.  It was beautiful and we are very happy with how it turned out.  He did ask us if we wanted to say something special to one another and we did.

Same as Brenners, we let the officiant do his own thing and he did great.

We did tell our w/c in our meeting that we were NOT doing our own vows, but during the ceremony the JOP handed the microphone to my husband and asked him to say something to me.

We were both caught off guard, and were laughing because nothing was prepared. The guests clearly picked up on this and were laughing too. It was a nice light moment in the ceremony, and turned into such a special moment for us as well, because my husband just looked me in the eye and spoke from his heart. It was very sweet.

I that the free stay depends on who you book with.  We had one free trip through Air Canada vacations with every 26 people booked.

Ours was the same as Brenners and Joanne.  We were also surprised by the "say something" thing. The husband is pretty shy, and was really caught off guard. He said "I love you...that pretty much sums it up". It was special, the best man used that as the opener to his speech that night.

Thanks for the music feedback, we decided to go with the keyboard and bass...here's hoping its great!

If anyone is interested and it hasn't already been posted here recently I have the menu options available this year! It appears it is similar to what other ladies have been saying they had at their weddings, but in case you were interested I thought I'd offer!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
