I honestly didn't eat very much, I was too excited to be able to!

I ate a little of the curried chicken and tomato salad and it was really good.

I had a little onion soup but was afraid of splattering my dress so only had a few spoons, but it was standard french onion soup.

I was away getting my bussle on my dress when main course was served so I only picked at the potato when I came back, I really wasn't hungry at all because of the excitement all day.

Now what i did eat and love was the raspberry tiramisu ..... that was incredible!

I have some pictures that I'll post below, some from my wedding, some I got from other brides before my wedding when we were deciding on our menu :

ANGELA2013, your WC can send you additional photos of flowers that the florist can put together for you.  We went to a local florist, found flowers we liked and put together our own bouquet.  We sent pictures to our WC and she checked with the florist who said that they could do those for us.  Orchids, calla lilies and peonies are extra but anything else you want is included in your package.  Congrats and good luck!

I had my wedding 1/7/12 at the Palace gazebo. We had some guest staying at the Tropical and my WC (Gabriela) did not charge us for the guest to come to the gazebo for the ceremony. She told me since "I" was staying at the Palace that I would not be charged for guest to come to the ceremony. My wedding was at 4:30 at the gazebo and ceremony was not until 7:00. I had 20 guest and 18 of them were staying at the Palace. I decided to have my guest go to the Carey Bar which is upstairs from where the gazebo ceremony was held. Very convenient. At the bar upstairs they have the unlimited premium drinks and snacks (little sandwiches, popcorn, nuts, cookies, fruit). The 2 guests that stayed at the Tropical, had no problems getting drinks. I just recommended them not to go up to the bar. The servers came to them with no problem. My group had been very generous on previous nights with the tips and we were recognized. Then at 6:30 my WC had a shuttle waiting for the guests to go to Playa Azul, where the reception was held in one of the Palapas (which is at the Beach hotel and they have there buffet lunches held). I can tell everyone, I had the most beautiful wedding I could ever of dreamed of having! It truly was amazing! A private, intimate dinner, with a 4 course meal. Open bar with around 6 servers. We brought our own I Pod and had it organized with grand entrance, first song, father daughter and so on. I had one of my friends/guest in charge of announcing and changing music. Just like previous post have stated, the wedding coordinators are absolutely fabulous. This wedding was so stress free for me. Whatever you need, they are there for you. I brought some of my own decorations for the reception and they did all of the decorating for me. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
