The palace lobby bar has a huge outdoor seating area. You can plug in an ipod docking station and continue the party there. There is always food laid out and of course free drinks.

Hi Ladies,

I'm back from my site visit and now I'm between two choices for the wedding: Now Jade and Barcelo Maya Palace.  They are both very beautiful resorts, but different from each other.  Fortunately, my date: Feb 26, 2013 is available at both! So now I just need to make my decision.

Does anyone have recommendations on travel agents that they worked with for travel/room rates for Barcelo????  I would really appreciate any leads.  I really want to contact a few travel agents over the next few days in order to iron out the travel/hotel contract and send my STD's.  The Wedding Coordinators told me that once I blocked the rooms thru a travel agent, that my date would be booked.

So please, if any recent brides can recommend a travel agent that they worked with for their wedding, or if you have any tips on the best way of going about finding one.  I'd really appreciate all your recommendations and advise!  Either post, private message, or you can email me: carolinechirinos@gmail.com.

Thanks so much ladies!!!!  I'll be posting my pics of Barcelo Maya soon along with my review of the other hotels that I visited during my site visit.

-Caroline

Are you having your reception outside the grill or actually inside? The grill is huge, and the ceilings are really high so you might be best to check with your w/c on this.

Ask if they could string something across (above tables and dance floor area) to attach the lanterns to being the palapa roof is sooo high, depending on how many guests you have will depend upon how large an area you will occupy in this space, its quite large.  Best wishes to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
