For all future Barcelo Maya Brides I thought I would share our wedding website if you want to use information for your own site.

Useful info includes resort information, clearing Cancun customs, and things to do in the area. Some stuff I got from other brides, some I just added. Would have been useful for me to get all of this in one place at the time so thought I would share with others!

JoanneIreland - thank you! That was a really thoughtful thing to do. We (daughter and I) are working on passport invitations and info for the wedding web site right now. Perfect timing! We have guests coming from England and we're staying at the Palace as well (wedding is June 2012.) I hope all your planning is going great - quite a task isn't it! dizzy.gif Thanks again! Catracer

Only 2 months to our wedding now so when we come back and get settled I will write a detailed review with pics so you'll have that well before your June wedding.

Hen your pictures are gorgeous and you look beautiful! Congrats!

Can you tell me where you got the starfish you have on the fans, and the little ones on the maraca tags? Also where did you get those adorable mini champagne bottles?

How was the saxophone? That's what we will be having too.

Did you pay extra for the dance floor.

Thanks for sharing!

Hello Ladies,

I am renewing my vows at the Barcelo Palace on August 18, 2012. I have questions about the packages.

1. Has anyone ever done the free Coconut Package? how did the day turn out? (wedding location, dinner)

2. For those brides that chose the Blueberry package? same question?

I am planning a vow renewal and I'm in the early stages of planning so I am not sure how many guests I will have. In any event I was not interested in a reception at all. Any information anyone could share would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Meggers- Your pics are gorgeous!  I also loved your bridal shoes, and was wondering who made them.  Most people assume that I will go barefoot, but if I'm spending so much money on a dress, then I want to wear some heels!  Do you have any advice regarding wearing heels?  Was it weird to wear them on the sand?  Thanks so much for sharing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
