I read on this forum that you can have the Mint Breeze package reception moved to an outside location for a cost of $27.50/person, but have also heard others saying that the only way to have it outside is by upgrading to the Strawberry Passion package. I really want my reception outside, and it would work out a lot cheaper if the $27.50 quote was accurate.

Can anyone confirm that this is an option?

Thanks! x

This is a repost as I didn't get any bites from the first time I posted it, so sorry to be a nag! :)

I have a massive favor to ask.  For those of you who did the Mint Breeze, or maybe just have some info, i am looking to see if there is any other option for the reception other than a banquet hall.

we are only going to be about 15 people so I fear a banquet hall would be ridiculous and I'm just not keen on that idea at all.

If you have some info or photos, I would really appreciate it and if you prefer to email it to me just let me know and I will PM you my info.

TIA ladies and happy planning!

I'm sure you could get your group booked into one of the al a cartes instead. Ask your WC and see what she says..... Other than that it would be the beach but that will cost you!

Hello Everyone!

I have been signing into this forum for a few months now and have found it to be a incredible resource.  Thanks so much for generously sharing information, itâ€s very much appreciated!

My FI and I are getting married at the Palace on April 12, 2012.  Our ceremony is at the chapel and we are now looking at the different reception sites.  We have 70 people signed up already, and we are expecting 80-90 people to attend.  Among those in attendance are a few elderly relatives as well as families with young kids.  I want a nice reception site, but I also want to make sure everyone can access it easily.

We are considering the Palmeras Grill for our reception site.  How far is it from the Palace itself?  I gather that it is not on the Palace but is located on one of the other Barcelo resorts.  Did anyone use the Grill as their site and find it too far for your guests to get back to their rooms?  Anyone have any particular recommendations?

Gabriela has been quite helpful so far, but itâ€s difficult for us to assess reception sites as neither my FI nor myself have been to the Barcelo resort.

Hope all is well!  Good luck to everyone whose date is fast approaching!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
