Like I've said before, I only paid for one night for my photographer. I figured I'd try it and if they said something, I'd just pay the extra $50 or whatever for the $300 fee. I told Claudia I booked them a room...I didn't say for how many nights.

On the day before the wedding, the Kodak people called my room and offered their services. I said that I already had a photographer, and they asked "Is it a guest, or an external photographer?". I just replied that they had a room booked. That was the end of it.

If you can find an awesome deal on the happy days site, you can probably get a smokin' good deal at the Beach or Caribe and save some money. I know we brides are all about saving money!

Can anyone offer up any info if they've used My Barcelo Experience as their photographers?  According to the information I was provided, external photographers are not permitted, so I hired My Barcelo Experience and from what I've read on this site, I haven't found any mention of them.  Our wedding is in May at the Barcelo Maya Palace and I'm SO worried the pictures won't come out perfect.  And it's starting to make me nervous.  HELP!  Any information would be greatly appreaciated.  Thanks!

Ok, this is the response I got back from Lillian about using outside vendors and fees:

What kind of outside vendors you need?? maybe I can help you to contact them, usually you don't have to pay a fee for them, they just come to bring the stuff and leave the hotel, and then come back to get their stuff, but if you have something in mind maybe I have contacts that can help you. let me know.

It seems that each WC is providing a slightly different answer to the questions but if other brides are not having difficulties, then that makes me feel better.

For Rooms? I know Air Canada Vacations has up until mid December on their website now, so they must be soon.

My TA got me rates back in October that we're guaranteed.  If they go down, we go down! Yay

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
