Great review! I just booked Claudia for my wedding in July. Every review and pictures I see makes me feel so good about my choice. Between getting Claudia and Adrian for my hair and makeup, I feel like the luckiest bride ever!

When my mom went down for a site visit they told her to reserve the French resto in it's entirety would cost $10,000 because that means they are closing it to the rest of the resort. You could do a semi private reception maybe, I'm not sure how that might work though. Good luck with your choice!

I'm new to this thread. My fiance and I have been engaged already for almost a year and we are hoping to have our destination wedding by May 2012. I know I know still sooo far away, but I can't help but get excited and want to plan the wedding already. That being said, my first choice for a resort was the Barcelo Maya Palace, however, now I am conflicted and considering Dreams Riviera Cancun. Both resorts have their pros and cons and I can't decided on which resort to choose. Ahh! I'm so conflicted lol. The main reason I am posting on this thread is to find out about the French Restaurant at the Barcelo. I've read past posts of brides having their wedding reception in the restaurant and it was gorgeous! I'm curious to know if we are still able to do this. I've read that as long as we purchase a certain package it possible and I've also read it is only available to rent for receptions at a cost of $10,000 (which is crazy!). If anyone has any feedback they can send my way it is mucho appreciated! Thanks!

I can understand that. We had DRC as one of our short list. Beautiful resort :o) But we fell in love with the BMP. We have a small group of 23 coming with us and we are having our evening meal in the French. We are not hiring the whole restaurant. We will be in there with other ppl but this is not something that bothered us. We are having a big AHR so we are not to fussed about the big reception out in Mexico that to us is more the special place to say our vows and become man and wife. At home is were we will have our party with all our friends and family present. :o) It really does depend on what you want for your wedding. Good luck

Oh my gosh ladies I got my pictures back yesterday and they are amaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!! I am so thrilled to pieces, I don't even know what to say!

For anyone wavering on photographers...you cannot go wrong with Claudia Rodriguez. She is simply amazing. Believe me when I say I am very unphotogenic, but I honestly feel beautiful in my pictures.

Here they are!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
