Hello to all.  I have a question that will help me narrow down my selection to this resort.  If I'm staying and having my wedding at the Palace and the majority of my guests stay Palace, but a few stay at the other Barcelo adjoining resorts (to suit their budgets), do I have to pay a day pass for those non-Palace guests to access the Palace for my wedding day and reception?

On a side note, this forum is great.  I was initially looking at the ME Cancun, but another BDW member provided her honest review on the resort and told me about some other resorts she saw on her site visit (Barcelo being on of them).  Looking at all the reviews and photos have me leaning towards this resort.  I'm looking to get married in either late April or May 2012.

Hey babigirl21,

Your guests will NOT have to pay for a day pass for the day of your wedding. For my wedding in April, I have 2 couples staying at the Tropical and the rest at the palace. When I asked my WC about this, she said the guests will NOT need a day pass for the wedding. But if they want to access anything on the palace property on other days then they will need a day pass. Hope this helps!

Hi Everyone!
We booked Claudia Rodriguez for our photographer and videographer and are trying to figure out what extra fees we will have to pay on top of the actual package. I know you can either book a room for two nights or pay the resort photo company $300. My question is - if you pay the $300, do you ALSO need to buy day passes for all of the photographers and videographers?

Any insight would be muchhhh appreciated Smiley

Thank you!

If you look back a few pages, FutureMrsG and Surprise_its_taken both sounded like you didn't have to buy day passes too.  Might want to double check with your coordinator?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
