That's my plan! I'm quite willing to nix things like a $1000 for a dance floor I think.  After the reception if we really want to go dance, I'd rather go to the club I think.  We'll see though!

Our budget is way less than 15000.  I think when it is all said and done we will have spent around 7500. Including flights for my fiance and I.  But, we are only having 28 guests at the wedding and we are not doing anything fancy for the reception or ceremony.

I initially thought this to, but then I added it up (roughly)

Roughly - Flights 3800 (ish)

Package - 3500 ish (strawberry - counting the extra people for the reception)

Photographer - 2200 (Sascha Gluck)

Say 2000 for assorted other things - my dress was $600, invitations were only about $50 - flowers, welcome bags, any of those unexplained things that come up,

Total - 11,500.  I overestimated on everything, since there is always more it seems!

 Hey Avens...

I see you chose the strawberry passion pkg...  I have a question... to my knowledge that pkg only includes up to 15 people, I was also told it was almost $ 70 / person above that 15, and my guest count will be similar to yours 30-40, (give or take) wondering with what you said your cost was including extra ppl was lower than I expected, am I confused?

Hope you dont mind me asking...

Thanks for the insight... Lynn

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
