Anyone have the breakdown of the differences between the features of each of the 5 hotels at Barcelo Maya?

I am creating my Wedding Website and under "Resort Information" I have listed the 5 hotels within the resort but want to provide information on each.

Anyone have this handy?

Thanks!

I don't have anything that I can actually send you, but I know there's a website called Unofficial Barcelo Maya and it has lots of great info about all of the resorts in the Barcelo complex.  Restaurants, activities, etc. There is a resort map on there too.

Hello Girls! So I just emailed my coordinator Victoria about bringing an outside Dj (Dj Mannia) and she told me that we would have to pay $100 per hour to have him. Has anyone else heard about this? I think this is crazy to charge this amount of money to bring a Dj. Let me know, thanks!

Also does anyone know if there is a fee for bringing in a florist? Does anyone have any suggestions of who I should look into?

Do any of you have pictures or any information on the florist that Barcelo provides?

I have never been to the resort so I am just going off of pictures... can anyone tell me where I should say I would like my reception (on the beach)? I think think there are a few different spots I can choose correct... does anyone have pictures of these different areas?

Please let me know on all this, I can use all the help I can get... I am getting married at the end of April, it's coming sooo fast! EEKKKK!

Thanks girls, happy planning to all cheesy.gif

I think I can help you on a few of these questions.

I have some pictures of the flowers that they offer at the resort.  Also I have some pictures of the beach locations for the reception.  There's Playa Azul which is at the far end of the resort in front of Barcelo Maya Beach.  The pictures that nmurch posted on the previous page are of Playa Azul. There's Palmeras beach which is in front of the Colonial/Tropical. And there's Coral beach which is in front of the Palace.  If you PM me your email address I will send them to you. I also have pictures of some of the centerpieces that they offer.

Mel :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
